The Laughing Apple LP (RSD)

Released in 2017, The Laughing Apple is a glorious return to the classic Cat Stevens intimate acoustic sound of the early 1970s it features newly written songs alongside re-recordings of some of Yusuf's earliest material, allowing him to present the songs as he'd always wished they’d been recorded. “Many of my earlier recordings were overcooked with big band arrangements. They crowded the song out a lot of times.” Yusuf explained. The album received a Grammy nomination following rave reviews from the music press and fans alike.
